You Capture – America

This week’s challenge at I Should Be Folding Laundry focused on country.  Obviously inspired by the 4th of July Holiday, it was extended to include those outside the US by capturing their country as well.  Most years I take tons of pictures at the Fairfax Parade as we are in the parade representing the Fairfax Lions. This year though, we were traveling back from Ray’s CMP Camp in Anniston Alabama, so we missed the parades.  We did manage to make it down to Arlington before the fireworks display though, so I did get pictures of the fireworks in DC.  I know that the fireworks are not an original idea, but with the Washington Monument and the restored Pentagon in this shot it represents America’s indomitable spirit.
