Nikon D90

It was just before Cue Camp that I got my new Nikon D90.  Prior to shooting with it, I wouldn’t have thought you could’ve pried my D80 out of my hands for anything.  I loved the way that camera worked.  I was comfortable with it and knew it’s nuances.  Let’s face it, the D80 is a great camera.  But, as soon as I tried out a D90, I was in love.  It felt just like shooting with my D80.  The menus though slightly different, were no more difficult to navigate.  All the buttons are in the same places.  It felt so familiar, it was like I was using the same camera.  So why switch?  The pictures!  The way the new D90 handles light is just amazing.  The D90 offers the same or better image quality than the Nikon D300!  If you’re a real techie, take a look at Ken Rockwell’s comparison between the D3, D90, D300 and D200.  The most incredible feature is automatic D-lighting also called Active D-lighting.  So, now for the pictures.  Here are a couple taken on cloudy days, but the fall colors still popped.  I love my D90!
