Sticky Notes for your computer

There are a few different blogs which I read frequently, but for some reason I feel most compelled to respond to things that I find on Elle’s blog.  This comment/post actually tracks back further than that to another blog about which Elle wrote: Love Well – The Post Deluge.  Today I’m going to talk about Sticky Notes and where to stick them.  Sticky Notes are the most marvelous invention, second only to the wheel in my mind.  Where would we be today without the lowly Sicky Note?  Did the inventors at 3M understand what they had created when they first came up with this idea?  Did they understand the impact it would have on the daily lives of so many people?  We use them to mark pages in documents; mark the line where a signature should go; hold our place in a novel; scratch down momentous ideas; jot down phone numbers; keep a running tab; remind us to do everything from pick up milk, or even the kids, to call mother and say “happy birthday”.  Without the Sticky Note modern civilization might very well crumble to its knees.  Where do you keep your most important Sticky Note?  Is it on the fridge? By the phone? On a mirror? The dashboard of your car?  How about your computer screen?  I used to have no less than 10 sticky notes surrounding the edge my computer screen like some type of paper frame.  I have to say they are gone!  GONE, mind you!  How can this be?  I’ll tell you a little secret.  I found an electronic Sticky Note!  I love it!  And it was free!  I found it here:  http://www.sticky-notes.net/.  Now, no disclaimer needed because I have no financial interest in this person, company, website, etc.  I just like the electronic sticky note I found here.  So, now my Sticky Notes live on my computer screen.  No, I can’t grab one and dash out the door with it in hand, but it’s a darn useful little note and I haven’t lost one yet!

So where do you keep your sticky notes and could you live without them?
